On February 20th, the District's Innovation Advisory Committee- consisting of parents, campus personnel, and central office administrators- finalized a District of Innovation plan which allows for greater flexibility in the area of the first and last days of instruction. The five year plan will begin with the 2017-2018 school year and terminate at the end of the 2021-2022 school year unless amended by the Innovation Advisory Committee, DWEIC and Board of Trustees. As required, the plan has been posted on the District website for 30 days for public feedback and reviewed with DWEIC. We are seeking the District's approval of the District of Innovation Plan.  
Budgetary Impact:
Approval of the District of Innovation Plan to begin in the 2017-2018 school year.
