The Performance Based Monitoring Analysis System (PBMAS) report is one of the measurement systems utilized to help determine if all students are achieving success. The purpose of this particular report is to measure the effectiveness of programming associated with four areas associated with federal grants: 1) Bilingual Education/English as a Second Language; 2) Career and Technical Education; 3) Every Student Succeeds Act (the old No Child Left Behind program); and 4) Special Education. Each one of the four areas is rated on a scale from zero to four based on a scale established by the Texas Education Agency. The stage assigned to each group is as follows: Bilingual/ESL (Stage 1); Career and Technology Education (Stage 2); Every Student Succeeds Act (Stage 2) and Special Education (Stage 3). Because of these assigned stages the district is required to submit a Targeted Improvement Plan. Service Center personnel in conjunction with personnel from the Texas Education Agency conducted training regarding the PBMAS and associated plan on November 1st. A copy of the PBMAS report is attached.
